International Technical Director

Overview of the Group Production Team

The Group Production function is the Centre of Excellence that covers the whole End-to-End process for our Productions. The role will report to the Group Content Director who is responsible for the International Production function of Stage Entertainment. The way the Group Production function operates is based on the 'One Company' philosophy of intensive global/local collaboration, co-creation and synergies, with a closely-knit international Production expert community.

to execute all aspects of Producing a show – Pre and Post opening - as required including but not limited to:

    • Budget/Business Case Creation and Control with local team and FM (Finance Manager)
    • Reporting up and down stream eg Weekly Management Meeting
    • Management and Delegation of responsibility to staff eg Production Manager
    • Monitoring and enforcing reporting to internally and externally eg approvals, hiring key positions, hire company contracts and payments
    • Continue oversight through running and closure

 

to oversee all aspects of Producing a show – Pre and Post opening - as required including but not limited to:

    • Work with local EP and FM to evaluate and stress test Business Case at all stages
    • Agree and divide areas of responsibility as required with the local Executive Producer
    • Oversee reporting – internal and external - and ensure that it is completed in a timely manner and in line with contractual obligations.
    • Establish and maintain reporting and responsibility structures up and down stream
    • Continue oversight through running and closure

 

Work within the International Production Department to provide advice and research as required eg:

    • Chairperson for the Group Technical Committee
      • Organizing quarterly meetings, agreeing agendas, identifying and executing cross group projects
    • First point of contact for licensors when evaluating productions at a central point
    • Evaluating 3rd party budgets and projects
    • Technical advice on new venues
    • Trouble shooting – eg GHOST LED screens
    • Support local EP’s to exchange advice and information eg LED legal changes
    • Providing advice on ‘group wide’ issues such as ensuring e.g. Anastasia will work in all our markets
    • Rationalise and reduce Storage overhead
    • Member of the 4G
      • reviewing all BuCa’s and giving active feedback
      • providing general production advice eg Madrid new venue
      • evaluating capex requests

OPEX initiatives as applicable

You?

  • Have around 10 years of experience in comparable roles
  • Have experience in building financial business cases/models and/or managing projects
  • Have experience in licensing, programming or producing theatre in Germany, Spain, France, or the Netherlands (is a major plus)
  • Have experience in coordinating stakeholders to reach defined objectives
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
  • Have the ability to work successfully across cultures and in an international and fast-paced environment
  • Are a team player who is proactive and self-motivated
  • Are keen and willing to travel
  • Are comfortable in a corporate environment
  • Have excellent Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills
  • Are fluently in English (German or any other continental European language is a plus)
