Overview of the Group Commercial Team

The Group Commercial function is a Centre of Excellence that covers Marketing, Sales, Digital Eco-system and Business Intelligence and reflects the strategic relevance of being data driven, consumer oriented and digital focused.

The role of the Group Commercial team is to provide state of the art business processes & tools, technology & systems, expertise & benchmarking to enable countries to innovate, maximize revenues and optimize cost. The Group Commercial team also plays a crucial role in monitoring and governing commercial performance across all countries; reporting performance to senior leadership and driving specific initiatives into the markets to improve commercial results.

The way the Group Commercial function operates is based on the 'One Company' philosophy of intensive global/local collaboration, co-creation and synergies, with a closely-knit international Commercial expert community.

Overview of the Group CRM Manager role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CRM Manager to join our international commercial team at our headquarters. This role will be responsible for spearheading the rollout and continuous optimization of our group-wide CRM platform and operating model across our European countries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of CRM strategies, best practices, and operational processes, coupled with the ability to drive in-house CRM capability building and provide expert consultancy to both HQ and country-level teams.

The role is commercially focused with the ultimate aim of consistently increasing the marketing ROI of our CRM activities across all group operations. The role is responsible on the business side for the group-wide CRM platform, capability building and operating model.
With the CRM function we aim to continuously increase the lifetime value of a growing pool of identified, qualified and addressable prospects, visitors and ticket buyers via relevant, personalized one-on-one communication through multiple channels.

The role will be based in Amsterdam alongside the core of the Group Commercial team.

Regular travel will be needed, in particular to Germany, Spain, France and Spain to work in detail with the local teams and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Key focus areas:

CRM Platform Rollout and Optimization

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of the group-wide CRM platform and operating model.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of CRM initiatives with other sales, marketing and business processes.
  • Develop strategic CRM initiatives aligned with overarching marketing and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the markets to develop and implement effective CRM communication strategies and campaigns.

CRM Capability Building

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs to build in-house CRM capabilities within HQ and country-level teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams in understanding and leveraging CRM tools, technologies, and methodologies effectively and provide toolkits and dashboards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CRM, offering consultancy, internal and external benchmarking and best practices to internal stakeholders at both HQ and country levels.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in CRM technology and methodologies, and incorporate relevant insights into strategies and processes.

Operations Process and Governance

  • Establish and maintain a unified process and governance framework for CRM activities, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of group-wide CRM programs, including lifecycle programs, triggered programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate CRM KPI’s and metrics, identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Around 5-7 years of work experience (preferably in an international B2C environment such as ecommerce/travel/leisure/hospitality/entertainment).
  • Have in-depth experience in CRM marketing, with a focus on platform migration/implementation, optimization, and strategy development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Are fluent in English – working knowledge of Dutch, German, Spanish or French will be a plus.
  • Have a proven track record of driving measurable business outcomes through CRM initiatives.
  • Have a combination of strong creative mindset and analytics skills with proficiency in CRM analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Have interpersonal skills to develop strong relationship between group and local countries
  • Have experience of working with different cultures and working across multiple countries, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM platforms, tools, and technologies, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze, Adobe, or similar.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
