We own and operate a network of 16 theaters in our home markets of the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France and Italy. We also have offices in these countries and in the United Kingdom. Here we produce some of the best-known musical titles developed by international partners and their creative teams, such as Disney's The Lion King, MJ the Musical and Moulin Rouge! The Musical. We also create original premium content of our own, such as Anastasia and TINA - The Tina Turner Musical with which we operate worldwide as a licensor or with our own theater tours in the United Kingdom, the United States, Latin America, Australia and Japan, and elsewhere. We employ about 2,000 people. Today, the Stage Entertainment brand is widely known for the exceptional quality of our shows and our warm hospitality to audiences in our theaters.
Corporate Communications Advisor (32 – 40 hours):
The Corporate communications department at the International Headquarters located in Amsterdam plays a key role in how our employees, the media and the general public perceive us as a company to enhance and safeguard our reputation. To that aim we oversee a wide range of on- and offline communication activities and channels to engage our employees with the progress of our strategy and create a shared sense of belonging, develop messages to deliver to the media, advise our leadership on their communication efforts and develop new initiatives to keep Stage Entertainment on the cutting edge of communications. In short, the Corporate Communications department tells the story of the company behind our shows.
The department is a small and close team and consists of 2 employees Corporate Communications and the Director Corporate Communications, to whom you report.
This position gives you the opportunity to work on an international level to help shape the communication of the organization, but also requires, because we are a small team, creativity and a hands-on mentality.
Specific responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, organization and execution of events, such as the semi-annual 'International Management Meeting'; the annual 'Live Stream' and the monthly 'Community Day'
- Provides international communication (with a specific focus on internal communications) on developments within the organization
- Provides (un)solicited internal advice on on- and offline communication.
- Takes care of the corporate communication channels with images and text, such as the corporate website and social media
- Develops PR and communication plans and is an active member of working and project groups. Such as DEI and ESG.
- Identifies and analyzes opportunities to optimize communications and translates these into creative ideas and result-oriented activities
- Monitors project schedules and the progress of the work and adjusts it where necessary
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor degree preferably in the field of Communication or other relevant education.
- Relevant working experience in communication is an advantage.
- Good, professional language skills in Dutch & English, both spoken and written.
- Proven MS office skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with CMS Drupal and Photoshop is a plus, an eye for design is a must.
- You are enthusiastic, creative, flexible; keeping the overview; a relationship builder, and have hands-on mentality.
- Experience in or affinity with theater and/or the media/entertainment is a plus.
