That’s why we’re looking for a MarTech Developer

Here is where your challenge starts:
As a MarTech Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical development, integration, and optimization of various marketing technologies utilized within the company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our marketing technology stack, including but not limited to HubSpot (CRM), Segment (CDP), Drupal (CMS), Bynder (Asset Management), Optimizely (A/B testing tool), etc., is effectively implemented and utilized to enhance customer engagement, drive personalized experiences, and ultimately maximize commercial performance across all markets. This is a commercially focused role with a primary objective of extracting maximum value from our marketing technology investments and enabling all markets to leverage these tools to their fullest potential.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Own, support, maintain, develop and customize marketing technology solutions to meet the specific needs of the commercial function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Integrate and connect various marketing technologies to create seamless workflows and data flows, enabling effective communication and collaboration across teams and channels. Support, maintain and develop integrations.
  • Optimize the performance of marketing technology platforms through continuous monitoring, testing, and refinement, leveraging data-driven insights to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and enhanced functionality within (and outside) the marketing technology stack.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams on the use and implementation of marketing technologies, including training and documentation as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the marketing technology landscape, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.
  • Work closely with external vendors and partners to evaluate, select, and integrate new marketing technologies as needed to support business objectives.
  • Guard, follow and implement and IT enterprise architecture, policies, procedures, and processes to guarantee an agile, reliable, secure and effective environment.
  • Create and maintain document of the marketing technology stack.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master is preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Fluent in English, working knowledge of German Dutch, German, Spanish or French will be a plus.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing technology solutions, with a focus on CRM, CDP, CMS, and other relevant tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or SQL, with a strong understanding of web development frameworks and APIs.
  • Proven experience working with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Segment, Bynder) and related tools.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • The ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with different cultures and working across multiple countries
  • Familiarity with data management and integration principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance.
  • Preferably work experience in an international B2C environment such as travel/leisure/hospitality/entertainment/media/communication.
